Working to support employers, military charities, Veterans and Reservists

  • It has come to our attention that unauthorised individuals may be using the City Veterans CIC name and branding to fundraise on the streets.

The City Veterans CIC does not conduct this type of fundraising activity.

If you encounter anyone claiming to represent City Veterans CIC while fundraising in public, we urge you to take immediate action by reporting it to the police. This misuse of our name and of other military charities undermines the trust we work hard to building within our community and with the public

OUR MISSION

In 2014, a Committee was formed when the in-house Veterans' Networks of several Financial Services firms identified a dislocation in the hiring of Veterans and the raising of funds for Service charities in the City of London.  Evolving from this, the City Veterans CIC (a non-profit Community Interest Company) now runs recruiting and fundraising events with its members, supporting over a dozen different charities and raising material funds for much needed causes.

Working in partnership with Military in Law Network (MILNet) and the Forces Employment Charity (FEC), we exist to coordinate fund raising efforts and connect firms across the country and across different professional industries, to help them coordinate their recruiting efforts and engage at the right level with HM Forces.

City Veterans Committee Announcement

The City Veterans are delighted to announce that Tom Laing-Baker will officially join the City Veterans CIC committee as the Defence and Government liaison.

He has been a quiet supporter of the City Veterans since its inception but has now formally agreed to join the committee to help shape engagement with defence and government in the future.

“The work that the City Veterans team has delivered over the last few years for Service-leavers seeking new roles, and raising funds for Service charities, has been inspirational and impactful . I applaud the results and am honoured to be involved .”

Michael Cole-Fontayn

Chairman of AFME, CISI and Patron of The City Veterans CIC
